Mental Health Index Report – December 2020 Update

The mental health strain on U.S. workers continues during the final month of 2020.

Understandably, many people were eager to flip the calendar to 2021. After all, 2020 was filled with an enormous amount of mental and emotional trauma. But our hope and anticipation of a better year ahead has not helped improve our mental state. Download December’s Mental Health Index report to learn more about this month's findings.

• Non-conscious negativity increased from November to December, feelings of depressive mood trended upward, and stress and anxiety remain elevated.
• The risk of depression rose 48% in December among working Americans, and multiple diminished mental capacities contributed to decreased cognition — specifically a 62% drop in focus and an 8% slip in memory.
