The mental health strain on U.S. workers continues during the final month of 2020.

Understandably, many people were eager to flip the calendar to 2021. After all, 2020 was filled with an enormous amount of mental and emotional trauma.   • Non-conscious negativity increased from November to December, feelings of depressive mood trended upward, and stress and anxiety remain elevated.
  • The risk of depression rose 48% in December among working Americans, and multiple diminished mental capacities contributed to decreased cognition — specifically a 62% drop in focus and an 8% slip in memory.
